Blue Ridge Fixed started with two simple ideas in mind - improving the form and function of your home and doing something that I love to do.

My name is Rich Shefski. The focus of my work is small but significant projects that help you to have a home that functions beautifully. I invite you to learn more about Blue Ridge Fixed and our small project approach through this website. It is my hope that you will have a personal project experience, where thoughtfulness, craftsmanship, and attention to your small project are the most important things.

Before Blue Ridge Fixed

Before Blue Ridge Fixed was established, I spent many years in Colorado and then in the Charlottesville area as the owner and craftsman of a home renovation company specializing in high quality trim carpentry, cabinetry installation, and renovations. My recent years in Charlottesville have included positions as a project manager, senior project manager, and project manager/design coordinator at a local custom home builder and two design-build companies. 

In My Spare Time

When I am not working on homes, I love spending time with my amazing wife, five kids, five grandkids, and our granddogs. I also love the outdoors and whenever possible, I can be found outside somewhere, either hiking, mountain biking, kayaking, or gardening.
