Small Project Process & Pricing

Our Pricing & Scheduling

A Different Approach

Our approach to pricing and scheduling is a little different than what you might expect from the typical handyman. We know how hard it is to get someone to call you back, let alone show up to do the work when scheduled.

We always strive to not over book and to work with your project needs in mind so that we can give our attention in a courteous and professional manner.

Block pricing and scheduling is what makes this work for you and for us. This approach allows us to charge a fair and reasonable rate without sacrificing an excellent job. Because we don’t over commit and we don’t under charge, we are not tempted to take shortcuts which would hurt the quality of the craftsmanship that goes into each of our small projects.

Payment Is Simple

We email you an invoice through Square, which you can choose to pay by credit card, cash, or check.

If you want to use a credit card, simply click the pay invoice button in the email and Square will take your payment and send you a receipt.

How It Works

Block pricing and scheduling is actually very similar to if you were booking a vacation rental, only in this case you are booking us to be working on your project for a specific day and amount of time.

There are three block options from which you can choose. You can book us for a two hour block (our minimum), a four hour block (three to four hours), or a six hour block (five to six hours). If your project requires more than a six hour block we will recommend the additional blocks needed.

Many of the projects we do can be estimated and scheduled without a site visit. Once we talk with you about your project, we will recommend the block(s) of time that is appropriate for your project.

Project Process

Small Project Focus

Everything about Blue Ridge Fixed is intentionally small. Our small project focus means that we are typically scheduling projects that can be done in anywhere from a couple of hours to perhaps a day or two. A small project could be a fix-it list of things that need some TLC, or it could be an installation of some sort.

Our Simple Process

Our process is simple. We start by first talking with you about the things you would like to fix, change, or add to your home. We have divided our small project services into three distinct areas of your home - Interior Spaces, Porch & Garden, and Garage & Studio.

Once we know what you would like to have done, we will either schedule your small project or we will recommend that you book us for a site consultation to go over the design, product selection, take measurements, etc.
